Abstract The aim of this study was to estimate reproductive effort and success in tropical trees examine the effect pollen limitation on success. Pollen assessed through supplementation experiment contrast open pollination treatment. taxa selected were Bombax ceiba, Erythrina stricta (ornithophilous trees), Lagerstroemia speciosa, Mesua ferrea Schima wallichii (entomophilous trees).
